FujiFilm X-Pro1 Size - Deal breaker or Big Advantage?

After browsing on various blogs and forums posts, I came a to (probably a fast conclusion) that many people aren't in favor of the size of the new FujiFilm X-Pro1.  The X-Pro1 is FujiFilm's first mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses. It certainly put FujiFilm back on track, and it will have to compete against many other cameras in the CSC category.

Why FujiFilm X-Pro1 Price is So High?

Many of you are probably very happy to see FujiFilm getting back into the interchangeable lens camera business with the X-Pro1, after closing its DSLR department. However, a starting price of $1,700 looks like a very risky one.  I've seen an interview video with FujiFilm UK director, whom mentioned that FujiFilm is aiming this camera to professional and enthusiast photographers. Let's remember that this is a compact system camera that should compete against other cameras of its kind. However, it seems that by setting the price that high, FujiFilm actually created a new category of CSC (Compact System Camera), a high-end model one.

FujiFilm X-Pro1 Mirrorless camera announced - Yes!

Fujifilm is entering the MIrrorless camera with interchangeable lenses market with the X-Pro1 camera. Yes, you hear it right. For some of you it may come as a surprise, for others a very smart and predictable move. It's a surprise because Fujifilm already quit the DSLR business and since then, Fujifilm only manufactures point-and-shoot cameras. Fujifilm is a very strong brand in the photography business, and many photographers are happy that the company is back in the game. Hopefully with remarkable products, as the company is known for.
