This website is also about design and has some great images, which will inspire every one of us, the photographers. This article brings the joy of taking macro images using your camera and specific macro photography equipment. On this article, the editor collected some great macro images from Flickr, wired (some of them we've seen before), colorize.net and other sites. You can find macro images of insects and bugs, animals, human in nature and other objects and food macro shots. It seems that every single Microsoft image can inspire everyone to buy macro lenses to use with its DSLR camera.

You Will Need a 1:1 Macro Lens
Of course these are only some of the most amazing photographs taken by professional macro photographers. Consider that you need to buy special equipment, in order to achieve such high quality and inspiring macro photographs. For a start, you will need a Macro 1:1 lens. Which will give you the option to shoot gorgeous images.

Canon Macro Lenses
Canon, for example, has released the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens , which is a great lens for macro photography. It has a long focal range, so you don't need to get closer to her subjects, when you shot insects and bugs. Another great lens from Canon with a shorter focal length is the Canon 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens. It is actually in your lens for the EF-S mount, but provides sharp angled for quality images, especially for macro photography and portraiture also.

Nikon Macro Lenses
On the other side, Nikon provides two great macro and micro lenses for shooting life-size close up objects. The first is the Nikon 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor Lens, and the second one is Nikon 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro-Nikkor Lens.

Many photographers preferred the longer focal range macro lenses, because they don't want to physically position themselves to close to insects, in order not to scare them away. You can read reviews on macro lenses and hear the photographer's opinion on SLR gear website.

That's It!
So this is it for now, I hope that you've got inspired, and now you will think about buying a new macro photography lens, and start shooting close up images. You can find Macro photography tutorials here and here, Good luck!
