Announced in Pre-IFA 2009, Canon unveiled their new 7D High-End DSLR camera in their EOS series. I know many of you, both enthusiast photographers and professional photographers are happy to hear that can finally released a new camera into the market. The Canon EOS 7D digital camera will not replace any other digital SLR camera on the market today. It suppose to stay between the 5D Mark II and the Canon 50D.
Canon 7D offers lots of you innovative technologies and many spatial enhancements to some important aspects of the digital cameras that exists before it. Let's start by talking about the new CMOS sensor. This new sensor boasts an 18 megapixel resolution APS-C sensor, and most of you probably ask yourself why cannot decided to put so many megapixels in that sensor, because in order to take full advantage of the resolution of the sensor, a photographer must buy an expensive lens which gives a professional high quality sharpness and resolution to take advantage of such high megapixel sensor. So probably the increase in the sensor pixel density is not a welcome one for many enthusiast photographers. But, professional photographers will enjoy using this camera as a backup camera in their equipment bag.
Canon EOS 7D also includes a new autofocus and metering systems, so by using a 19 point cross type of autofocus sensor, the give the photographer in option to quickly and accurately grab a picture that otherwise was impossible or very hard to accomplish.
Canon EOS 7D also features an intelligent viewfinder with 1.0x magnification and 100% frame coverage, amazing isn't?. Another enhancement was made to the back LCD screen which allows you to better view the screen in problematic light conditions. They minimizing the gap between the of the LCD screen and LCD screen itself, Canon managed to manufacture a more quality viewing experience for the photographers who will buy the new Canon EOS 7D digital reflex camera.
But listen up guys, Canon had provide us with the ability to take high-definition videos in full HD using the live CMOS sensor. This feature called EOS movie, let after photographers capture high-definition videos in 24 frame per second. So as we can see, Canon 7D is a target competitor to Nikons D300S and D300 cameras.
Another enhancement is the ability to capture 8fps images without using an external battery and grip. So sports photographers would greatly appreciate this feature, and maybe some photographers who thought making the switch to Nikons cameras a few months ago, will change their minds and we buy this spectacular DSLR camera from Canon.
I know that the name 7D is misleading, because at first I thought that the Canon EOS 7D is a replacement for the older Canon 5D digital camera, but of course now we know it is not right. And the release of the Canon 7D was supposed to solely target Nikons DSLR camera at the same price range.
