But if you haven't, and you want to know what every photographer, whether he or she is an amateur photographer or professional photographer, visit the website in order to read the latest news and the most comprehensive reviews about digital photography equipment and industry news. What makes this professional digital imaging website so popular among photographers and artists, is that it provides a tremendous amount of information that is written in a simple and very understandable form. DPreview website is known for its reviews and previews about digital cameras, lenses, digital cameras buying guides, forum and photography contests called challenges.

Dpreview contains the most comprehensive database of digital cameras features and specifications. The content that is written in dpreview is original, unbiased and in high quality. In every review that is being written by dpreview editors, you can see that it's very well organized into sections, that will help their readers of that specific  in-depth review to find the specific information they want to acquire for a specific digital camera or a digital lens, that dpreview is covering.

For example, we have decided to choose and click the Nikon D5000 camera review, that was written by Richars Buter. When we gaot to the page of the Nikon camera review, on the top you can see a drop-down list all some may call it a combo box, with a list of all sections which are relevant for that specific review. For example, you can browse the sections like introduction, specifications, body and design, operation and controls, menus, performance, photographic tests for RAW file format, noise and dynamic range photographic tests, compared to, which gives you information about our the specific camera compares to another camera at the same price range, and of course a conclusion and sample images taken by that specific camera.

Find a specific camera review
In order for any user to find a review about a specific digital camera, the user have to options to choose from. The first option is to use the search engine on the top left corner under the dpreview logo, in order to find reviews and news that exists on dpreview.com digital photography website. The second option, is that you can click the link called 'camera database' and you can see a list of all the digital camera manufacturers, which dpreview.com has reviews on their cameras. For example, you can find Agfa, Canon, Casio, Contax, Epson, Fuji film, Hewlett-Packard, Kodak imaging, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Leica, Nikon and so on.

By clicking the company name let's for example plea Canon, you will get a page about Canon digital cameras. You can see a list of all current models of digital cameras from Canon, which were announced or reviewed by Canon. You can see a picture of every camera. And by clicking image of the specific camera you will get a page that in their you can see the digital camera specifications. If there is a review or hands-on preview, you will see a direct link underneath the camera's image. You can see the date that the specific digital camera was announced, how many user reviews each camera has an a link to buy now or check prices for the camera model.

Digital Cameras Timline
Another great feature on dpreview.com website, is what called digital cameras timeline. This is a pretty cool feature that shows you a graphic representation of new digital camera product announcements, starting from 1995 until the present day. You can even click the RSS icon on the top right corner in order to get the latest announcements of new digital cameras as they peer on dpreview.com site. For example, today September 10, you can see on the timeline that the latest cameras which were announced were Leica X1, Leica M9, Panasonic Lumix dmC-GF1, Canon EOS 7D, Sony alpha DSLR A550 and so on.

Digital Photography Buying Guide
on the left menu of dpreview.com website, you can see link called 'buying guide'. They clicking on this link you will be brought to the buying guide digital cameras features search. It is actually a digital camera comparison engine which lets you isolate and compare digital cameras by letting you choose those cameras by updating Criterias. So it gives dpreview.com visitors an easy way to find and compare digital cameras by filtering unwanted cameras by their features. For example you can find the form of of the camera, whether it is a compact camera or interchangeable lens camera, pixel density, sensor types (like CCD, CMOS, NMOS etc), whether the camera should have image stabilization or not, can they camera on next to an external flash all doesn't have a built-in flash, what type of viewfinder the camera has a many other options to choose from. If you don't understand all the meanings and definitions, you can look on the third to column which has a short description about each feature and feature.
Dpreview.com forums and Discussions
if you search for discussions about digital photography on the Internet, you've probably find yourself reading user comments, discussions and arguments in dpreview.com forums. This is the part that I least like on dpreview.com website. Even though, that this is the most comprehensive and maybe the oldest digital photography forum on the Internet about digital cameras and digital imaging technologies, I think it needs a user interface makeover. So let's start by checking the first forum called news discussion. Inside use discussion forum you can see message threads which every one of them discusses about news, articles, headlines, new technology is etc.

By clicking a specific message thread you will get a page where you can see that chain responses or as dpreview.com call it 'the navigator', you can see all user comments with the information who posted the comment and when the comment was posted on that specific thread. In my opinion it is less comfortable to navigate like a regular forum concept.

Lens Reviews
Not so long ago, I think two months ago or maybe more, dpreview has combined a new section for lens reviews. In the section you can find a large selection of DSLR lens reviews which combine comprehensive and highly detailed information about SLR interchangeable lenses. You can even compare SLR interchangeable lenses side-by-side and see which one is better. Into lens reviews section which is being updated every month, you can see the least of camera and lenses manufacturers like Canon, Hartblei, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Sigma, Sony, Tamron and Tokina lens manufacturers. On the right side of every lens review link you can see the date that the lens review was published on dpreview.com. But if it's not enough for you, you can choose to find a specific lens by lens type like macro lenses, standard prime lenses, telephoto zoom lenses, telephoto prime lenses, standard zoom lenses, super zoom lenses, wide angle zoom lenses, wide angle prime lenses and perspective control lenses. And last, there is an option to find a specific lens review by the date that the lens review was published. So it is a pretty cool section which is very easy to navigate and find a specific lens that you want to read about.

Dpreview.com is one of the largest digital photography review sites, and it's also the most popular one on the Internet will stop if you want to always stay updated with the latest news in the photography field, stay updated with the top stories, new camera releases and read in-depth reviews about digital camera gear like lenses and camera bodies, you must check dpreview.com website and put it in your favorites list.
