Currently I don't have a SLR reflex digital camera, but I intend to buy a new digital camera very soon. Few months ago I had my 400D Canon SLR camera which I bought in Israel and it serves me very well for more than three years. I love to read articles and reviews on many popular websites that write reviews, I mean professional reviews about SLR cameras from Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Olympus, and all the other brands. I can tell you something very funny, it took me over two months in order to find what digital SLR camera I want to buy. Because I'm such a perfectionist, I have decided that I want by a new DSLR camera, until I'll get to know everything I think I should know about SLR cameras, SLR lenses and SLR equipment, before I make a choice and finally by my first digital SLR camera.
After reading a lot of reviews and articles about digital photography on the Internet, I stayed with only a few options, but options I mean two companies which manufacture SLR cameras and lenses, and I know that you know what I'm talking about, those two companies are Nikon and Canon. My father is also a passionate photographer. When I remember when I was a kid, he always had Nikon cameras. What made me want to be a photographer, or at least an amateur photographer, is that one day, when we were traveling in England London, my father took a picture of my brother sitting on a bench, and I remember that after we got back to Israel and a so the photo, I was so impressed.
What was so amazing about the specific photograph, is that the background was completely blured and you can see my brother on the photographs sharp as a knife. From that moment on something happened to me, and deep inside myself and you that photography is something that I will do in the future to come.
In 2007 (I think) my father bought a new SLR camera from Nikon called D70. He was so happy using his camera, that you called me the same day and asked me to come and see the photographs that you took with his new Nikon SLR camera that they. I remember that my brother also bought a new camera, I think it was Canon powershot digital camera but I'm not sure. So I guess I was alone, all I've wanted is to get a new camera for myself so I can start taking photographs and express my creativity, because deep inside of me and you that I have a very creative side.
So what they did, his thoughts reading the reviews in Dpreview.com, Steves-Digicams.com, DCviews.com and other websites, in order to gain more knowledge about digital photography, whether it was cameras, lenses, digital photography equipment for professional amateurs alike, in order to make the right decision and buy the perfect camera for myself. At that time I remember that I was very confused, there were so many companies, but at the end I remember that I was looking only at Nikon and Canon SLR cameras. My father tried to convince me that I should only buy Nikon SLR camera. But as you know, like other people on the Internet that make comments about their SLR gear, everyone is falling in love with their photographic equipment and try to convince everyone else that there Nikon or Canon SLR camera is the best and make comparison's, and forget that it doesn't really matter which camera you have, the most important thing is that you start taking photographs, gain experience, learn more about digital photography, and become a photographer which can express himself using the tool, which is called 'a camera'.
Everything starts with a budget. So when you plan to buy a new SLR camera, you first need to ask yourself how much money you want to invest in buying a new SLR digital camera. I have decided to invest $1000 in order to buy a new SLR camera. At that time, we didn't have many options like we have now. So back then, only Canon offered a SLR camera which costs under $1000. You in Israel the prices of SLR cameras are calculated like that one dollar equals five Israel shekels. Means, that the price of a digital SLR camera is more expensive buying it here in Israel, then buy it in the United States or other places.
After comparing cameras side-by-side, I have decided a three SLR cameras which have fought that will fit my needs as an amateur photographer. Finally, I decided to buy the Canon 400D. I also bought a new Canon lens, the Canon 50mm f/1.4 and the Tamron 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Di-II LD Macro.. After that purchase, I remember searching the Internet full digital photography guides in order to start gaining more knowledge about the basic of digital photography. I learned, that there is nothing like best digital SLR camera. It's all about expressing yourself as a photographer and sharing your artistic outputs with other photographers of all around the world, not to get popular something like that, but to enjoy that social activity and the ability to lead a more and more and become a better photographer.
Anyways, nowadays I am working from home to make a living. And I'm planning to buy a new SLR camera pretty soon. I have many photos which it took with my Canon camera, and I will share them with you pretty soon and it wants to hear your opinion about them.
