After reviewing Canon's learning Center website, we have decided not to neglect Nikon's owns learning Center called Nikon school photography education. Nikon gives you the chance to register online for upcoming Nikon school seminars. But. Let's focus on the Nikon school website itself. First things first, let's take a look about what you can find and what information Nikon provides all photographers on the Nikon school website.
On the left side, we can see menu six main categories:
- Nikon Technology - Nikon technology which explains about the technology which was implemented in Nikon DSLR cameras, information about COOLPIX digital cameras, NIKKOR lenses and Nikon's creative lighting system.
- Capture your world - which presents videos, illustrated articles and photography tips from the editor of Nikon website, including relevant guides about people and pets photography, travel and adventure, advanced and occasions, sports and action, nature and wide life photography guides.
- Insights and techniques - which provides information about the fundamentals of photography, explanation of basic and advanced shooting techniques in fairly high details, and also information about image editing that will cover later.
- Nikon school and workshops - if you ever wanted to breed yourself higher in terms of knowledge and education about digital photography? - here you can find the perfect information which will help you to become a better photographer. This includes an introduction to digital SLR photography for new photographers with Nikon SLR equipment, enthusiast photographers who want to educate themselves in the photography field and of course professional photographers that want to deepen their knowledge. You can find information about color, light and technology. Learn about underwater photography, find information about sponsored workshops and educational DVDs and much more.
- Nikon World - this is a printed magazine from Nikon which you can subscribe to and stay up-to-date with news, reviews, amazing photographs from professional Nikon photographers and much more inside. When In comparison to other digital photography magazines that can be delivered worldwide, subscribing to the Nikon world magazine is only available for United States and Canada subscriptions only.
- Photography glossary - here you can find terms and definitions about photography in general and digital photography and particular. Everything is arranged in alphabetical order, and at the top you can see older alphabetical ABC letters, and by clicking one of them, you will get to see a list with all the terms that corresponds to that specific letter. For example, if you select B, you will find terms like background, balanced composition, barrel distortion, blinking highlights, bracketing etc.
A Hands-on Guide to Creative Lighting is hosted by award-winning National Geographic Traveler photographer, Bob Krist, with world-renowned photojournalist and lighting expert Joe McNally.
Nikon Technology
So in order to get more understanding about Nikon digital school website, we decided to check the Nikon technology section. As you probably know, Nikon technology is being at the forefront of the imaging industry. Every day Nikon continues to evolve and develop more advanced technologies, which gives the photographer more tools to make himself more creative and help him or her, to achieve the desired results and with the maximum image quality that it's possible with current digital photography gear. Information like scene recognition system, Nikon VR image stabilization, live view shooting modes, auto white balance and information about NIKKOR amazing high-quality lenses and creative lighting system, all can be found here. The information is short and simple to understand. And amazingly easy to understand and very helpful for new photographers or Tech guys.

Capture the World is one of my favorite sections, because it here you can really get to see what Nikon photography is all about. Field with professional photographs made by professional Nikon photographers will inspire you and will help you to improve your own photography skills so you can become a better photographer in the future. There is nothing like learning from experienced photographers in the field. Here many professional Nikon photographers will aid you and will teach you some important skills that you should learn in order to apply them in different situations to get the best shots. As we said earlier this category have five subcategories: people and that's, travel and adventure, advanced and occasions, sports and action and nature and wide life. Each category has its unique articles for both beginners and intermediate photographers.
So let's take a look at the travel and adventure section. Correctly there are five articles that fit into this category. However, clicking one of them, you will get to that page of the article that will professionally explain about how to achieve your goals when shooting travel and adventure photos. For example, the article 'The Lore of the Landscape' written by Rosanne Pennella, is an aspiring article which follows by amazing images taken by Rossane Pannella herself.
Insights & Techniques
As explained by Nikon, the section will offer you the ability to learn basic and advanced photography techniques, which will help you enhance and develop your photographic skills and bring them to the max. Under each featured article, you can find the icon let's face you to identify which article is for beginners and which one is for advanced photographers. The section is divided into four subsections, which include the featured articles, fundamentals all photography, shooting techniques and image editing. It is really a great place to enrich your knowledge in photography as a whole.
Nikon School & Workshops
This is what Nikon school is all about. Here you can read about scheduled Nikon seminars that have been placed in several locations in the United States like Arizona, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York and many more. If you click the schedules link you will get to that page which will show you information about all the scheduled sessions. Including when and where they are held, including prices for people who decide to register these seminars online, usually for lower price. You can also find information about instructors, which most of them of course are professional photographers with lots of experience into the photography field. Instructors like Bill Durrence, Reed Hoffmann, Michael A. Schwarz, Nick Didlick and Bob Pearson. As many used to say, there is nothing like learning from professionals, especially from Nikon professionals.
