I was looking to buy the Canon EOS 7D camera because of its new HD video capability, but I also needed a support for geotagging for my pictures. I have been reading on the Internet that the Nikon D90 for example can accept the Nikon GP-1 unit device, which is cheap and does the job for geotagging you images. The problem for me is that in order to get a geotagging capability on the Canon EOS 7D, I think you should buy the grip and a bluetooth GPS device, that in a whole it would cost you around a $1000 instead of $200 on the Nikon side.
I wanted to hear whether you have any idea on a geotagging solution for the Canon EOS 7D, because I need a solution ASAP. What are the geotagging options for the Canon EOS 7D and if I decide to pay an extra for the GPS solution, what kind of equipment do I need to buy in order to geotag my pictures.
For me that best solution is to buy the Canon EOS 7D because I must have a very goold video HD capabilities and a geotagging solution including the large range of Canon's EF/EF-S lenses. Please advice on any solution regarding geo-tagging pictures with Canon EOS 7D.

Wait or Buy the New Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 VR II?
If you're after buying a new telephoto zoom lens from Nikon, you should probably consider investing in the new Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II lens from Nikon. If you're on a tight budget would probably ask yourself, whether you should invest in a better I quality glass, or rather you should buy a less expensive telephoto zoom lens with a lower optical quality. Of course it all pivots on your budget, but I am in the same circumstance like you. Investing $2400 on one lens is not a simple decision to make. I have decided that occasionally you're better off buying two or three lenses with good optical quality instead of one expensive high-quality lens.
After seeing some pictures online taken with the Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR II I was bought right away. The image quality was nothing but awe-inspiring. For some amateur photographers like me, the image quality is very important, and you want to come home after a long day all shooting photographs, and be able to produce colorful, sharp and beautiful images. I recall taking pictures with my older Canon 400D telephoto zoom lens (I can remember it the exact model, but it was a cheap lens). When I came home and upload images to my PC computer, I remember that I wasn't satisfied with the quality of those pictures. It seems that optical quality of the lens is really important for me to be satisfied with the quality of the pictures I'm taking.

Canon EOS 7D - TrustedReviews Editor's Choice
The latest Canon EOS 7D review comes from TrustedReviews website. I don't remember reading one negative review about this magnificent SLR camera. It seems that everyone loves the Canon EOS 7D camera, and I think that this camera is going to win one prize or two. I like to read TrustedReviews articles, and I think this website, even though not as professional as dpreview in other dedicated photography sites, is doing a pretty well job in summarizing the advantages of the Canon EOS 7D camera and others.
Canon EOS 7D has won the editor's choice award in TrustedReviews website, grabbing 10's in almost every aspect including build quality, features, image quality, overall score, but only got 9 score in the value rating, Canon EOS 7D boasts and 18 megapixel CMOS sensor and with lots of enhancements and new features, which can be found on more expensive professional DSLR cameras in the EOS line. The Canon EOS 7D has lots of competitors and serious contenders to compete against. The main competitor of course is that Nikon D300s DSLR. It's really interesting to wait and see how they both will succeed of Christmas 2009 sales. Is the perfect time to launch a new DSLR camera, right before the end of the year 2009 and before Christmas.
Nikon would probably launch a new version of the Nikon D300S only next year, and for now, we have a chance to choose between two magnificent DSLR cameras. Trusted reviews editor was very impressed with the Canon EOS 7D back LCD screen, which is a 3 inch with VGA resolution and anti-glare coating. The editor of trusted reviews was also very enthusiastic about the Canon EOS 7D HD video capabilities, it's a lot better than the Nikon D300S 720p HD video capabilities. The image sample taken with a Canon EOS 7D were absolutely breathtaking, sharp, colorful and with high contrast (of course with a good lens in front of the camera).
For more information about the Canon EOS 7D, please visit trusted reviews in-depth review about this great new DSLR camera from Canon, thanks and see on my next post.

CameraLabs Review on Canon EOS 7D Semi-Pro DSLR
I was considering buying a new digital SLR camera and there were two cameras that I considered buying. The first camera was a Nikon D90 and the second one was a Canon EOS 7D camera. My father recommended me to buy and Nikon DSLR camera instead of Canon's. I was very confused first because both cameras are very good, and I was waiting for more reviews about the Canon EOS 7D camera, in order to decide which one to buy and redeem myself from this misery.
Camera Labs website is one of my favorite digital photography sites. It is one of my trusted and more reliable pre-purchasing websites, and I am visiting this website every time that I want to read reviews about photography equipment. On November 2009, Gordon Laing (the editor camera labs) has reviewed the Canon EOS 7D camera. So let's take a look what Gordon Laing thinks about this new semi-pro DSLR.
CameraLabs.com EOS 7D Video Review by Gordon Laing:
First of all, you should know that the Canon EOS 7D camera is not the full frame DSLR, even though that it only has one digit name. Canon has released this new digital SLR camera two month ago, and it wants it to fit in a specific market niche just before the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and author the Canon EOS 50D. What it means, that the Canon EOS 7D will not replace the 50D camera, and you can still find it available on the local camera shop.

Ricoh GXR Smallest Interchangeable Lenses Camera - Preview
If you were searching to buy a new compact DSLR camera because he didn't like large size of enthusiasts DSLR cameras, maybe you should consider buying Ricoh brand-new GXR interchangeable lens camera. However, we have a surprise for you, Ricoh GXR is not the typical interchangeable lenses DSLR. Ricoh GXR is a small digital camera body, which can accept different modules, which every one of them includes a different sensor and the lens in the same module. That means that when you buy a new lens to fit into your Ricoh GXR camera, you're actually buying a lens and the CCD at the same purchase.
It is actually the smallest interchangeable lens camera into the world, even smaller than Olympus smallest 4/3 SLR camera. So you actually buying the Ricoh GXR body separately and then add different modules to fit your style of photography. The actual body itself is made with strong magnesium, like more expensive DSLR cameras on the market today. The body of the RICOH GXR is actually the main computer heart of the camera itself, including a three each LCD screen at the back of the camera with high resolution and the ability to show all sRGB colors, shutter button, memory card slots, hot-shoe for the flash or the electronic viewfinder that you can buy separately etc.

Canon 100mm f2.8L IS Reviewed on dpreview
Everybody waits to read reviews about lenses and cameras on dpreview.com. Today Andy Westlake has reviewed the Canon EF 100mm F2.8 L IS USM macro lens, and I'm eager to see how this lens performs in lab tests. If you don't know already, the Canon EF 100mm F2.8L IS USM is a new macro lens from Canon, which should improve the quality of the older 100 mm macro lens, it's an L (luxury) lens with Canon's new hybrid image stabilization, which compensates camera shake and tilt camera shake. It doesn't say that the older 100 mm macro lens wasn't good, in fact, it was very good, but some macro photographers wanted Canon to release an image stabilization macro lens for outdoor nature macro shooting including portrait shooting. The image stabilizer which was implemented inside the lens is supposed to give a 4 stop advantage when shooting with lung focal range. This macro lens allows 1:1 magnification for your life macro shooting. The Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS fitting Canon EF mounts, both for full frame DSLR cameras and cropped sensor ASP-C DSLRs. On an ASP-C DSLR, this lens equivalent to 160mm (1.6 crop sensors). It has nine rounded diaphragm blades ,ultrasonic motor for fast focusing and the focusing is internal.

Canon EF-S 10-22mm Ultra-Wide Angle Lens Reviews
I was looking towards buying a new ultra wide angle lens for Canon cropped sensor body (ASP-C). I've been searching for an affordable but high optical quality lens. On November 2004 Canon released an ultra-wide zoom lens for its EF-S DSLRs. The EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens is supposed to be a very high quality lens, which will enable many amateur photographers to enjoy taking wide angle photographs. Of course there are other solutions, I mean other more expensive solutions by buying one of Canon's L lenses, but for me, it wasn't an option.Of course the downside of using this lens, is that it is only compatible to APS-C EOS digital SLR cameras and not for a full frame digital SLR camera from Canon. It means that when you upgrade to a full frame camera in the future, you won't be able to use this lens on a full frame body camera, so take that into consideration.
Gordon Laing Canon 10-22mm Video Review:
After reading a review on photozone.de about the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, I saw that the MTF resolution results were very good intellect best. This lens is not the sharpest lens ever made by Canon, but it provides a very good balance between price and performance, and for many amateur photographers these would probably be the only also wide angle lens they can afford.
I've been watching some sample pictures taken with that auto wide angle lens, to just see how it performs in real-life situations. The images looked sharp with high contrast and beautiful colors as expected. Even though that the build quality is not a top-notch in comparison to other Canon ultra wide angle L lenses, but again, you're not paying a premium price for it.

Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Lens + Video Review
A friend of mine bought the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED lens, and I was wondering if this lens was really as good as he told me. There are many reviews about the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8, so let's see if this lens is capable of delivering very high quality images for the price we pay for it.
The Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED weights 902 g and accept 77 mm filters. The Nikon 24-70mm is optically excellent is a region on Ken Rockwell review. It stand out from the older lenses like the Nikon 35-70mm f/2.8 AF lens that was introduced in 1987 and was produced until 2006. Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G AF-S works perfectly on every Nikon DSLR camera including DX and FX digital SLR's. This lens is big, heavy and very expensive lens from Nikon. However, again paying for really high quality lens. This lens includes at NanoCrystalCoating to reduce flare, it's uses internal focusing, has aspherical elements, ED glass elements, very fast auto focus and it is made in Japan of course.

Nikon SB-900 Speedlight Flash - Basics Video Tutorial
So you've decided to buy a new flash for a Nikon DSLR camera, and you want to go to the top and by the most professional flash on the market, you have bought the Nikon SB-900 speedlight flash, and you don't know how to use it. Flashes are harder to control and this is because this is something that you need to do manually by taking advantage of the manual and automatic functions built inside the speedlight SB-900 flash, and of course pointing the flash to the correct location in order to achieve the optimal lighting for your photographs.
The Nikon SB-900 Speedlight is the most advanced flash that Nikon has in its professional line of products for professional photographers. Nikon SB-900 is a truly unique flash with many options to choose from. This can be quite complicated using it the first. You should also need to know that you have bought the first Nikon flagship SB speedlight and there are so many options to explore.

High Megapixels Picture using Perspective Control Lenses
Have you ever thought how to create very high resolution or high megapixels picture? - Nikon help hotline video will show you the high megapixels magic trick using the camera you already have. You should have a perspective control lens that has shifting and Tilting ability. One of those lenses is Nikon 24mm f/3.4D ED PC-E lens. You can also use the Nikon 28mm f/3.5S PC (although less popular than the previous one), Nikon 35mm f/2.8D PC, Nikon 45mm f/2.8D ED PC-E, Nikon 55mm f/3.5D PC, Nikon 85mm f/2.8D PC, Nikon 85mm f/2.8D ED PC-E, of course the letters 'PC' stands for perspective control.
By attaching your perspective control lenses to your camera (a Nikon DSLR camera of course), you can start learning from this video out to create high megapixels pictures using perspective control lenses, even without the need to move the tripod. You need to actually set the lens for F/16 aperture and connect release cable release to your camera so you won't have to push the camera shooting button, and probably cause a minor blur in our experiments.

Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D VR Lens Reviews
Today I thought about pretty more about the Nikon AF VR Zoom-Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED lens, because there really love to shoot animals on the zoo, and I wanted a telephoto zoom lens from Nikon that can deliver high-quality images, have alone focal range, and lenses will be quite affordable. The Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED lens has gotten some mixed reviews on the Internet, some editors of love this lens and the other didn't. So let's see how good the Nikon 80-400mm is.Ken Rockwell
Starting with Ken Rockwell Nikon 80-400mm VR review, we can see that Ken Rockwell loved this lens, but it tells us not to use this Nikon 80-400mm VR lens. All photography or shooting moving subjects. Ken Rockwell is saying this because the Nikon 80-400mm VR auto focus is very slow, and it limits the photographer on the field when shooting sports photography or fast moving subjects. You can compare this lens to the Canon's 100-400mm VR lens, which did both cost about the same price. Even though the Nikon 80-400mm is smaller, lighter and also has a wider zoom range. So actually if you are on a short budget, and you want a high focal range telephoto zoom lens from Nikon, which is also small and affordable, maybe the only choice will be the Nikon 80-400mm telephoto zoom lens.
Photocrati Nikon D300s Hands-On Review
Today we can see more and more reviews about the Nikon D300s DSLR camera on the Internet. The Nikon D300s DSLR camera is becoming more and more popular and more enthusiast and professional photographers of 2000 and I. The first website who wrote an in-depth review about the Nikon D300s digital SLR camera was photocrati. Jack Neubart, the editor of photocrati website was also a Nikon D300 camera order. This review about the Nikon D300s includes an in-depth examination of every part of the Nikon D300s camera which follows with pictures taken by the Nikon D300s on Halloween.
Some of the pictures taken with the Nikon D300s digital SLR camera was also taken with the SB 900 Nikon flash and most of the pictures were shot using a manual mode. Other pictures taken with the Nikon D300S are of sports and night photography. At its final conclusion, the editor thinks that it doesn't worth the upgrade because it doesn't have many features that would justify the upgrade and the extra expenses. You should rather by all upgrade to the Nikon D700 DSLR or maybe in a better lens instead of upgraded to digital Nikon D300s digital SLR camera. So this is actually a hands-on review and not the in-depth review is that I thought it is, but it will give you a good impression on how good the Nikon D300s is.
Photocrati is a very nice website about digital photography with some very nice photography equipment reviews and lens reviews that you can enjoy reading and learn more from it.

Nikon D800, Real or Hoax?
Today I've heard a rumor about and you Nikon DSLR camera that supposed to be released this Christmas 2009, and the camera is Nikon D800 DSLR camera. This rumor all started because there was a picture published on the Internet with looked as a new digital camera from Nikon with the D800 logo on it. So do you think the Nikon D800 is coming, or maybe it is all a big hoax. On the picture below you can see that the Nikon D800 has and your mode switch, riverfront Urbach or that of black, a multifunction scrolling wheel (just take a look at the picture you can see that there is a typing mistake on how it was pronounced the word 'weel'), and inbody and redesign and a revolutionary integrated wireless data transmission via Nikon view out the synch.
From the picture below of the Nikon D800, it seems like a genuine picture. Many people on the Internet think that this Nikon D800 image is a complete joke and there is no way that such camera (like the one on the picture) will be released on Christmas, maybe something else but not his camera. So what do you say, do you think this Nikon D800 is the real thing? - share your opinion with us.

Canon and Nikon 2008 Market Share - Past Comparison
Canon Loses Market Share to Nikon
Today I wanted to talk about DSLR's market share. I've been acquiring the Internet for information related to the global market share of the DSLR market. I wanted to see who are the gainers and who are losers in the tough and crowded worldwide DSLR market. As you probably know Canon is the leader in this huge market. Nevertheless, it seems that Nikon was doing pretty well and even better than Canon into post three years. I've been looking in a chart graph which compares the growth of several companies like Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Pentax, Panasonic, and you can clearly see that when comparing the change of market share between 2006 and 2008, Canon lost around 9% and Nikon gained around 4%. Furthermore, you can see Sony with around 8% gain and Olympus losing 1%.
Many people will probably say that Nikon has managed to feel and the gasp between consumer DSLR cameras and professional DSLR cameras. There is a huge market in there, and by aiming and targeting this market, Nikon company made a great step in order to enlarge its market share on 2008.
When looking at the global market for DSLR cameras Canon still remained the number one worldwide. What Nikon does better than Canon is shipping their products much faster than Canon. Nikon SLR shipments grew at the 71.1% rate, in comparison to Canon's 29.3% rate. It doesn't mean that Nikon sells more SLR camera than Canon, but it does mean that Nikon understands how the market works and knows that timing is very critical. That's one reason why Nikon announces the new products few months before it is available, in comparison to Canon, which announces its new products only month or so before it is ready for shipment.
Olympus Announce E-600 Four-Thirds Cheap SLR Camera
Olympus has introduced a new digital SLR camera called E-600. As you probably know the Olympus E-Series SLR is based on the 4/3 standard. The main target was to develop a cheap SLR camera with some unique features that will appeal to new photographers searching to upgrade to a new SLR camera phone their consumer camera.
The E-600 SLR has 12.3 mega pixels sensor and the 2.7 inch LCD back screen. Olympus has already released the E-620 model on February 2009. Olympus tries to target different customers who search for a cheaper solution without advanced features, which they probably won't use anyway.
Olympus E-600 includes three types of "art filters", and those filters are special effects can use on your photographs to enhance your creativeness in just one click, and it is pretty useful for new photographers, who don't want or don't know how to edit photographs using photo editing software like Photoshop.

The three in-camera art filters transform your photography into works of art. Pop Art super-saturates colors...Soft Focus creates a dreamlike photographs..Pin Hole darkens the outer edges of a photograph.... - Olympus E-600

Rob Galbraith has reviewed the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens with the D3S body. It seems that the new Nikkor VR II lens is much better than the previous model it replaces. There are sample images taken with this lens in different ISO settings, and you can see the this lens produce some amazing high contrast and sharp images. If you are thinking of buying the new Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens, you should check Rob Galbraith review and view those great images taken by him at the circus.
Canon EOS 7D Reviewed on Dpreview Website
Dpreview website has finally finished its Canon EOS 7D review. This came in the perfect moment for me, because I was looking forward to buying a new digital SLR camera and Canon EOS 7D was one of my favorite cameras in my list. Just to let you know that the Canon EOS 7D review is based on the production Canon EOD 7D with the firmware 1.0.9.
The great thing we the 7D is that it brings an affordable professional SLR camera to the customers who are searching to upgrade from the current models: 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D and the 50D, and they want to invest more money to get the more professional and more capable DSLR camera to fit their needs. Some professional photographers may even consider the Canon 7D as a backup camera in their camera bag. Nevertheless, the 7D was supposed to compete with Nikon's latest D300s and Sony's A700, which are both great enthusiast cameras, and it was not an easy task for can.
First of all, you should know that the new 7D is not a full frame camera, and it's a cropped sensor camera with the ASP-C sensor. In order for people to upgrade to this model, they want to know if this new camera is really something unique, and it is capable of providing significant improvements and extra features, which will distinguish his camera from other cheaper models. If this is the case, and probably many Canon photographers will take this upgrade path and upgrade their current DSLR to the new 7D. Another thing that we should mention is that there are many new photographers, who haven't bought any camera yet, and most of them with probably have bought the Nikon D300 DSLR, if it wasn't a Canon 7D on the market. So in order not to lose customers and to gain more customers to use Canon photography equipment, Canon released this new enthusiast camera to the market on 2009.

Nikon D5000 vs D90 vs D40 vs D60 Comparison

If you're a photographer like me, and you want to shoot macro pictures, you have probably realized by now that you actually don't need an expensive DSLR camera, but rather you should invest in a more expensive macro lens. If you are on a tight budget, this will probably be a wise choice to choose a less expensive camera body and invest your money on a high optical quality macro lens. I have decided to check several Nikon DSLR cameras to go with the Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR macro lens. I've decided to base my purchase, by reading reviews on dpreview.com. Dpreview.com is a trusted site for true and unbiased information and opinions about digital SLR cameras. We will be comparing Nikon D5000, D90, D40 and Nikon D60 Digital SLR Cameras.
Nikon D90 To The Rescue!
First of all, I wanted to check out the Nikon D90 SLR camera. Dpreview.com already has an in-depth review about the Nikon D90. What I wanted to do, is to see how to D90 compares to other entry-level Nikon DSLR cameras like the D40x and the D60 and even the D5000 DSLR from Nikon.
Nikon Colors vs. Canon Colors - Can you tell the difference
I belong to a group of people who can easily tell the difference between a picture taken with a Canon camera against a picture taken with a Nikon camera. Yesterday I was perusing Pbase website (image hosting website), and make a simple test. I browse through different images and for every image I try to decide, whether it was taken with the Canon SLR or with the Nikon SLR.
The results were just astonishing to me, 95% of the time I could tell the differences and point out that specific image was taken by either and Nikon DSLR camera or a Canon camera. So what is the difference between those two? -- I will try to make myself clearer and explain what exactly I see in every image, that because of that I can come to a conclusion that the specific picture was taken with a Nikon or Canon camera.

Nikon D90 Video Recording Samples With Different Lenses
This is probably a more amateur video, but will demonstrate to you the capabilities of the Nikon D90 video mode with several lenses: Nikkor 50mm f1.4, Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro, Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6, Tokina Fisheye 10-17mm f/3.5-6. Actually, the video quality was far away from being good. You can see that when the camera pans quickly the bottom of the image moves before the top, and this makes the image look rubbery (as the editor of the video said). When comparing the Nikon D90 video capabilities against the Canon 5D Mark II figure capabilities, you can see that the Canon can produce more quality HD videos than that Nikon's. However, this is just an amateur sample, but this is important because this is what you get when you shoot outdoors like those guys in the video. So take that into consideration before thinking of buying the Nikon D90, only because it has HD video recording.
Nikon D90 Video with 105mm 2.8 Macro Lens
If you want to see what the Nikon D90 DSLR camera can do with the Nikon 105 mm 2.8 macro lens, using Nikon D90 video mode? - you must check this video out. I don't know why but this video didn't have so many views on YouTube, but I think that after watching this video you will probably want to buy both Nikon D90 and the Nikon 105mm 2.8 macro lens.
Watch this video just to get to glimpse of what is waiting for you when you buy and Nikon macro lens with a video capable DSLR camera (in this case, from Nikon).

Tokina f2.8 AT-X 100 AF PRO D macro lens Review
If you think about purchasing a third-party macro lens, you should probably watch this video review about the Tokina f2.8 AT-X 100 AF PRO D macro lens. Tokina is not the most popular third-party lens manufacturer, and it is less popular than Sigma and Tamron lens manufacturers. However, if you are on a tight budget, you should probably take the 3rd party lens companies into consideration. You should know that Tokina lenses built quality are usually very high, even though that you're not paying for a Canon 'L' lens, so this is one positive thing to say about the Tokina f/2.8 100mm Macro Lens, it's well-built.
Tokina AT-X 100 PRO D macro lens has a focusing ring which you can move up and down to control whether you want a manual focus or an automatic focus, pretty nice feature is very useful in the field. There is also a focus limiter on the right side of the lens, which you can choose between limit or full auto focusing option. You can find a small window on the top part of the lens which will give you the focusing information. This is a one to one (1:1) macro lens and a guy, who is reviewing this lens was using it with his Nikon DSLR camera, and he says that it performs very well on his Nikon camera.
At the end of the video you can see some sample macro shots taken with the Tokina AT-X 100 PRO D macro lens, enjoy.

Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro lens Video Review
Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro lens
If you think of buying the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro lens, you should probably watch this review about the Sigma 105mm macro lens, the Sigma macro lens is a 2.8 aperture lens. Most of the better macro lenses out there are 2.8. A good thing about the Sigma 105 mm lens is its price. In Britain, you can find this lens for 450 pounds. It has 58 mm filter size and the front element does not rotate. However, you should know that the barrel extends when you focus on your subject. Some more expensive macro lenses have internal focusing system, so the barrel does not extend all. The bad thing about this lens is that it focuses quite slowly. This is a problem in many Sigma lenses, not just in their macro lenses. So if you think about shooting outside and shoot insects, for example (handheld), it would probably be more difficult taking macro shots with the Sigma macro lens, in comparison to more expensive macro lenses out there.
In this YouTube video, you can see how slowly the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro lens focuses. However, as you know many macro photographers will use the manual focus ring to focus on other subjects, instead of the auto focus option. If you are in a budget, this lens is very recommended and can take beautiful macro pictures.

Why Professional Photographer Buy Expesive DSLRs?
As an amateur photographer I wanted to know is there a particular reason why professional photographers choose to buy the most expensive DSLR camera, can they just be satisfied with the semiprofessional camera?
If you do the comparison between several DSLR cameras, both professional and enthusiast cameras, you have probably seen that the semiprofessional cameras are very close in their specifications to do professional DSLR cameras. So why exactly, professional photographers spend so much money on the most expensive equipment available?
First of all, you should know that camera manufacturers like Sony, Nikon and Canon, price their DSLR cameras differently for different clients. So of course there is a reason why specific camera costs more than another camera. In professional DSLR cameras you can find the latest technologies in digital photography, including a better and more advanced sensor, faster bursting mode, a better viewfinder, better build quality Weather seals against harsh environments and much more.
So as we start discussing about white professional photographers choose to buy the most expensive equipment, you should consider the fact, that you cannot price all DSLR cameras at the same price. It is not stupid to say so, but you need to understand that when you build a specific camera for a specific customer target, you can't just build another camera, probably a more sophisticated one, and price it very close to the first camera. If you do so, you will have two products that will compete against each other for the same market spot and this will be a waste of money.

Tilt-shift Photography Example
Beautiful Tilt-Shift Photography Examples
If I haven't told you that before, I'm interested in buying a tilt-shift lens for my jewelry photography project that I'm working on. I start reading about tilt shift lenses, in order to gain more knowledge about those types of lenses, and what you actually can do with them. In this post, I want to get into in-depth details and talk about the technology behind Tilt-Shift lenses, but I wanted to share with you some links to beautiful photographs that were taken using tilt shift photography. If you already know what tilt-shift lenses are, just make yourself comfortable and enjoy those amazing photographs.
The first article is from smashing Magazine called "beautiful examples of tilt shift photography". Even though most of the images are all miniature subjects, you can really see what are the effects that you can create, using tilt shift lenses from either Nikon or Canon, both companies have tilt shift lenses. As for the date of writing this article, Canon has four tilt shift lenses and Nikon have three tilt shift lenses.

Sports Photographer Choose Canon - Why?
Canon Gear For Sports Photography?
This blog post is supposed to continue the previous discussion (why wide life photographers choose Nikon) but in another aspect. The question that I want to ask today is "why professional sports photographers choose to purchase Canon photographic equipment instead of Nikon equipment?". I don't have a specific answer for that and that's the reason I want to get your answers. What they do know, is that Canon has some great DSLR cameras for sports photography and some very good to excellent professional telephoto zoom lenses and prime lenses to shoot fast-moving objects, like soccer game.
However, as you know, Nikon also has some great telephoto zoom lenses for professional sports photographers who want to shoot fast-moving objects, so what's the difference between them. I can think of one reason for that, maybe Canon gives a discount for some organizations and companies, which purchase their professional photographic equipment and Nikon is not. This is only one way of thinking, economically.
The other reason that came into my mind is that Canon has more affordable professional telephoto zoom lenses and prime telephoto lenses, which fits the sports photographers' budget.
For example, if I were to choose a professional 70-200mm lens, I have several options to choose, from either companies. Going to the telephoto prime lenses, I think that Canon has some kind of advantage over Nikon and this respect. I'm really not the professional photographer or professional sports photographer to give you that specific answer. Even there are any professional sports photographers among you, please share your experience and knowledge and tell us, why have you decided to buy Canon's equipment instead of Nikon's DSLR cameras and lenses?

Wildlife Photographers Choose Nikon - Why?
Why Wildlife Photographers Choose Nikon?
I wanted to ask a few questions about Nikon and Canon digital SLR cameras today. Yesterday I've called my father on his cell phone and asked him, whether should I buy a Canon or Nikon SLR camera. My father's answer was very simple: "if you show me one wide life and nature photographer (a professional photographer) which uses a Canon camera, I will switch to Canon right now". This could probably be a long argument, but what my father said is probably true. Many wide life and nature photographers choose the Nikon path and by Nikon cameras and equipment instead of Canon's.
If you look at the soccer field, you can see that 99.9% of the photographers (sports photographers) used Canon equipment. In fact, when I saw some soccer games on the television, I couldn't even find one photographer who uses a Nikon DSLR camera. I'm asking this question because I'm interested to buy a new DSLR for macro and nature photography. As I currently don't own any DSLR camera, I have a freedom to choose between and Nikon camera or a Canon DSLR camera. Anything that many of you probably asked the same questions, wide there are so many Canon photographers in a soccer game? - I am hoping this discussion, because I want to get a reasonable answer that with satisfied me and help me in choosing and buying my next DSLR camera.
My main question is why wildlife photographers, choose to buy Nikon DSLR and Nikon equipment and not Canon gear?
I'm hoping that many professional photographers with participate in this discussion and help us all understand, why nature and wide life photographers choose to use Nikon DSLR equipment and not Canon DSLR equipment. Please share your opinion and help me and my blog users to get a reasonable answer for that phenomenon.

Tamron AF 60mm F/2 Di II Macro Lens Review
Tamron SP AF 60mm f/2.0 Di II LD (IF) MACRO 1:1
On my last post, I was reviewing several macro lenses for both Canon, Nikon and Tamron. After doing more research on macro lenses from Tamron, I found that Tamron has released a new 60 mm macro lens. The Tamron SP AF 60mm f/2 Di II LD (IF) Macro 1:1 lens is much improved over the 90 mm in several aspects. The first one is concerned the aperture. The Tamron 60 mm is f2 and the 90 mm is f 2.8. The Tamron 60mm f/2 Macro 1:1 incorporates an internal focusing system with low dispersion elements. Because that Tamron is a Di II lens, it was only fitting a cropped APS-C digital cameras. So as you can see Tamron did a great job with producing and your high quality macro lens.
A smaller aperture will give you the ability to shoot objects with shallower depth of field, in comparison to other macro lenses with aperture 2.8. Of course you need to take the focal range into consideration, nevertheless, that means that you can even shoot in low light situations. I did a lot of research on the Internet and read many reviews about macro lenses, before deciding which macro lens will be on my next DSLR camera. There are not so many macro lenses on the market, even though, the ones that most inspired me, just by looking at their photos, where Tamron and Canon macro lenses.

Macro Lens Buying Guide - Which Macro Lens to Buy?
Choosing The Best Macro Lens For You DSLR
It is so hard to find that one DSLR camera that I want to buy. First of all, I will tell you a little bit about myself before starting the conversation. I am an amateur photographer, and I've decided that I want to build a niche inside my home to shoot macro photographs and sell those photographs online. I currently don't have any digital SLR camera, and I've decided to search for a different kind of SLR cameras online, compared cameras from both Nikon and Canon and later decide which one to buy. I intend to buy the camera this month (October 2009), and I will appreciate any help from your side to help me decide which camera to buy. I wrote this guide to help my digital photography blog decide, which Macro lens to buy?
First of all, I wanted to talk about my budget. My budget is around $2000-$3000. I was looking on the difference reviews on several digital photography websites on the Internet, and I was interested to learn more about the Canon EOS 50D, Canon EOS 7D, Nikon D90 and the Nikon D300s. What bothers me, is that I think that I should be investing in high optical quality lens, instead of the camera body.

Canon EOS 7D Review
If you're searching to buy a new Canon EOS digital SLR camera, you should probably read about the new Canon EOS 7D. That Canon 7D DSLR was manufactured in order to provide Canon a better grasp in a specific niche of customers, who want to upgrade their current DSLR camera to something better and more advanced. After Nikon has released the Nikon D300, it seems that for over two years, Canon didn't have anything against this very competitive enthusiast DSLR camera. Furthermore, Nikon has introduced a new replacement for the D300, the Nikon D300s.
Canon 7D and Nikon D300s - Fight!
So Canon just couldn't sit and watch Nikon eating market share so easily. Therefore, Canon has released that you Canon EOS 7D enthusiast and semiprofessional DSLR. Canon EOS 7D is not going to replace any other camera and Canon's EOS line of cameras. It is supposed to fit in at that very sweet spot, where Nikon D300 great is targeting in the consumer market. So now let's just talk a bit more about the new Canon EOS 7D. You can post your comment on Canon vs. Nikon discussion post.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L IS Hybrid USM Macro Lens
Canon 100mm Macro Lens with Hybrid IS
I've been reading a lot about the new Canon 100mm Hybrid IS macro lens on the web. I have the Canon 50D SLR camera, and I was searching to buy a new macro lens, which will give me a high optical quality, precision and high contrast images. I first heard about the Canon 100mm f2.8L hybrid IS USM macro lens on dpreview.com website. I thought that macro lens has everything that I wanted in a macro lens: image stabilization up to four stops, ultrasonic motor, fast aperture and a longer focal range. This is a L Lens, means that these is a luxury and high quality lens from Canon.
Another thing important to mention, is that this new Canon EF 100mm Macro lens has is the new hybrid image stabilization from Canon. Hybrid IS is a new technology which offers up to four stops of correction of camera shake, and it's uses a low friction to ceramic balls, which supports of the lens elements in order to allow smoother movements when correcting the camera shake, was shooting close subjects in macro mode.
