There aren't many reviews and hand-on previews about the Sigma SD15 new DSLR, so I have digged a little harder on other languages websites to find out if I can find new reviews and image samples about the camera, including some product snapshots and Sigma SD15 image samples, so here's what I found:
Note: Use Google Translate to translate the websites in foreign languages. You can copy and paste the url inside the translation box and click "translate" to translate it to English or any other mother language of your choice. I didn't know if I can link to Google Translated pages, so I omitted them, but you can go to Google Translate and copy paste the URL in there (it automatically detect the language).

Lost of high resolutions picture taken with the Sigma DS15 with different lenses like: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM, 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG OS, 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM. Beautiful images, really shows and emphasize the goodness of the Foveon X3 sensor. The images are so great, colors are amazing (especially the kitchen (table with 4 chairs) picture, just WOW!

Amazing landscape pictures taken with the Sigma SD15. You can see that the Sigma produce amazingly high contrast and beautifully colorful images. No DSLR that I know can produce such high dynamic range pictures straight out of the camera, WOW again!
In part 2 you can see 5 high res landscape pictures taken with ISO 100, 200, 400 and 800 (0 Sharpness 0 Contrast 0 Saturation with no ND filter).

Here you can find some urban city landscape sample images taken with the Sigma SD15 (and the Sigma SD14, for comparison). It shows side-by-side comparison in different exposure (EV) settings. Sigma lenses used: Sigma 70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro, 30mm F1.4. It shows the difference between different color modes, both JPEG "Standard", "Neutral", "Landscape" and "Vivid" (I love the vivid more). By looking at the buildings edges, you can clearly see the sharp images that the SD15 produces. Also down the page you can find some ISO 800 night shots taken with the Sigma Macro 70mm F2.8 EX DG lens. Further down, some image samples that shows the amazing colors (especially the greens) that SD15 can produce (also compared to SD14 and DP2 output). Also lot more images, Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThese are pretty bad samples..itmedia has some focus problems...yodabashi has awful colors and bad lens samples...ganref seems somewhat better but still not SD14 quality...
