Nikon D7000/D8000 Rumors - D90 Replacement, on September 2010?
The Nikon rumors about the Nikon D8000/D7000 are getting stronger and stronger every day. The Nikon D8000 is supposed to replace the Nikon D90 digital SLR camera. The new Nikon D90 replacement, supposed to be announced somewhere in the middle of September 2010. It is expected to be announced, prior to Photokina fair in Köln (Germany). So as the rumor suggests, it will be called D8000 or D7000, not D95, as some people suggest.
The Nikon D8000 (or D7000) will probably have a 16MP DX-format sensor (ASP-C). It will offer 1080p@24p HD movie capture. Furthermore, the Nikon D8000 will probably offer a 100-6400 ISO sensitivity range, and probably will go even higher in expanded mode. Some rumors suggest that we will have a new AF & metering system, maybe a 26-point AF system. I have read the post that there is a possibility that Nikon will offer a 1080p full HD recording with Auto Focus. I don't know if it is possible, because we would probably have needed to see it on the Nikon D3100, which was already announced earlier this month.
Sony has released its translucent mirror SLT camera, the Sony A55 and A33, both with continuous AF in HD. This was possible due to the translucent mirror technology, and Sony had patented it (it seems). So if Nikon will come up with its own unique continuous AF while recording HD movies, it will probably shock the photography community.
Another Nikon rumors suggest that the Nikon D8000/D7000 (Toms Hogan thinks that it will be named D7000) will have a magnesium alloy body construction and a built-in GPS receiver. Well, if Nikon will introduce a 1080p/24p (progressive) HD video with full-time AF and in-camera GPS receiver for geotagigng photos, it will crash the Sony A55 for sure. Sony Alpha SLT-A55 & A33, both offer 1080p/60i. Even so, the lack of 24p in 1080p, really bathers many photographers. It just seems that if Nikon will be able to pull those feature off, it will be a winner DSLR in 2010/2011.
We also expect Nikon to improve the HD video quality of its DSLRs. Nikon D3100 digital camera is the first to offer 1080p/24 movie recording. The quality of Nikon D3100 1080p videos look promising, but I think that Canon has a better overall higher video quality.
Photographers will probably compare the Canon 60D vs. Nikon D7000/D8000 when it comes out. Canon 60D failed to innovate, and many photographers look towards Nikon, to make us happy, with the introduction of the Nikon D8000. We have just needed to wait a little more, and I am pretty sure that Nikon will not fail us with the Nikon D8000 (or D7000) new DSLR camera.
I was looking to find some D8000 or D7000 leaked photos on the Internet, but came up empty. Photokina 2010 will be opened at September 21, 2010. Usually we can find some leaked photos of DSLR cameras, just prior to their announcements. Anyways, we all hope that it will be worth the wait.

WE PRESUME THE NEW NIKONS WILL BE FULL FRAME,IS THAT TRUE? WHAT IS ESTIMATE OF PRICE ? ARNE
