Sony will announce 4 new DSLR cameras - New Innovations?

I must admit that I have been putting my eyes on Sony Alpha DSLRs for some time now. Even tough that many professional and enthusiast photographers prefer picking up either Nikon or Canon DSLR cameras, I think that in terms of innovation, Sony is probably the biggest contender to come up with new technologies in the upcoming years. So maybe Sony is not such a bad investment if you look into the near future and hope that Sony will surprise us with something that Canon or Nikon won't have.

After Sony has purchased Konica Minolta, it keeps releasing new camera bodies into the market, trying to enlarge its market share in the DSLR market every year. The reason why Canon and Nikon, both lost some of their market share holdings, its because Sony has entered that market. As a well based financial corporation, and with a great knowledge in video imaging devices, I see no reason why Sony can get to be one of the top DSLR vendors in 2013/2014.

I have read on SonyAlphaRumors website (has great new theme) that we will probably see 4 new Alpha DSLR models: Sony Alpha A33, A55, A560 and A580 on September 13th, 2010, when Sony is supposed to announce those 5 new Alpha series DSLR cameras. All will have Full HD AVCHD movie recording capabilities, panorama/3D and ISO 100 as a base sensitivity setting. Sony wants to also compete against Canon's successful DSLR, the Canon EOS 7D, which has great high quality HD movie recording capabilities.

There are also some discussions about a Sony "Foveon" like sensor patent application too. After Sony released it Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 EVIL (Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens) cameras, I am sure that Sony is going all the way to the top, knowing that bringing new innovation (what I think that Canon has failed to do) to the market, will bring more customers to believe and put their trust in Sony's hands and buy their digital cameras. I also expect that Sony will be releasing some new lenses for its E-mount Alpha DSLR camera series, maybe some new wide-angle lenses with wide aperture (fast lens).

If you read my blog posts, you probably know that I am still in the middle of deciding which DSLR to buy, and waiting for this year (2010) new camera announcements in order to decide (I won't wait more then that. So the scene seems to getting very worm prior to Photokina 2010 show. Let's hope that will finally see more innovations (some useful ones), and I really hope and wish that it will come from Sony.
