Sigma Releases SD15 Twin Zoom KIT Available Starting from July 15th

Sigma has released the SD15 Twin Zoom KIT. The new camera kit comes with the Sigma 18-55mm F2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM and Sigma 50-200mm F4-5.6 DC OS HSM lenses. It seems that Sigma wants to push the sells of the SD15 even further. Now that some photographers know that they cannot afford buying the SD1 because of its high price, they can purchase the SD15 Twin Zoom KIT as a starter KIT.

Sigma SD15 Kit
Both Sigma lenses are optical stabilized (OS) and has Sigma's hyper sonic motor (HSM) for fast AF. According to Sigma, the OS gives advantage of 4 stops over non stabilized lenses. The 18-55mm has a large aperture in its wide angle and overall it was proved to deliver excellent results and it's a very popular lens for beginners and advanced photographers alike.

So overall, you get a somewhat fast optical stabilized normal-zoom lens and an optical stabilized  telephoto-zoom lens. It looks like a good starter KIT for anyone who want to get started with a Sigma camera. It's worth mentioning that you must use the exclusive SA mount lenses with SDxx cameras. Some people might decide to buy an adapter an use other third party lenses that they already own. But the thing is that when you go with Sigma, you probably want to use it all the way, without massing up with adapters.

If you just want to get the SD15 body only, without the lenses, you can purchase it via Amazon here or from B&H here. You can get the SD-15 SLR with the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM lens only for a very good price on Adorama here.
