Olympus OM-D E-M5 Getting Wet (splash proof)

You probably know by now that the Olympus OM-D E-M5 is a weather-sealed camera (dust and splash proof). Of course we, the customers, we want a proof. So I've found a nice YouTube video where you can see the presenter splashing some water on the E-M5. As you can see in the video, the 12-50mm lens and the small flash both are sealed. You can see that after the guy splash some water on the camera, it continues to work (of course it will, it's Olympus.. just kiddin).

Canon 5D Mark III will be announced on March 2, 2012 (?)

I have to admit that I wasn't that excited about the Nikon D800/D800E camera. I don't know why, but maybe I was expecting too much from Nikon. After all, a few years have past, and I was expecting Nikon for a lot more. After that, I am truly looking forwards to see what the Canon EOS 5D Mark III would be like.

Olympus OM-D E-M5 Specs Review (with sample images analysis)

Olympus OM-D E-M5 camera

In this review I want you to get to know the Olympus OM-D E-M5 CSC camera in deeper details. ThFor me ie E-M5 was announced on February 8, 2012. It represents a new lineup in Olympus' Micro Four Thirds CSC cameras, a more "Professional" grade cameras, that is aimed for pro-enthusiasts photographers.

It's not that we are surprised to see the OM-D E-M5, because Olympus has already told the press in Photokina 2010 that it intends to develop a new lineup of Micro 4/3 cameras in the near future. Having said that, this doesn't take any less enthusiasm from us, because as you soon see, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about this new camera.

Fujifilm X10 Orbs problem wasn't fixed with the new v1.03 firmware

Dpreview has posted an article talking about the Fujifilm X10 Orbs sensor problem. We can deny that in certain situation the problem does exists. Their is a long debate whether it is actually a "real" problem or not. I personally think that it's a sensor problem, and even if for your type of photograph this isn't a problem, Fujifilm had to address it.

Olympus announced OM-D E-M5 with 5-axis IS and EVF

The Olympus OM-D E-M5 certainly grabbed my attention today. On paper, it seems like a great camera and a great addition to the Micro Four Thirds camera's lineup. More cameras means that we have more selection to choose from and that's a good thing. The E-M5 will certainly attract more people to go for the M43 path, rather than buy an entry level dSLR.

From an enthusiast perspective, I do care about image quality and I know how important the sensor size is, in terms of image quality. However, and after viewing the Nikon D800/D800E press release, I must give it to Olympus from being more innovative.
